Did you hear?!? Our 5th annual ‘Hear for the Holidays’ hearing aid giveaway campaign just launched!

‘Tis the season of giving and, OH Boy!, are we ready! In honor of the season, we are giving away three pairs of high-end hearing aids to those who can’t afford them.

We’ve been serving Central New York and New York’s southern tier from our three locations, in one form or fashion, for over 25 years. This year, and for the fifth year in a row, qualifying patients from across our region will be selected to receive the gift of better hearing this holiday season.

Receiving the gift of better hearing could be life changing, When our patients are able to hear their very best, the world opens up a little more for them; family dynamics shift in positive ways and, individually, people tend get a more hopeful sense of the future. And that means everything to us here.

This program empowers anyone in the community to identify friends, family members, and even strangers in need and to nominate them to receive the gift of hearing.

We’ve hoping to engage the publics’ giving spirit to help guide us to the most deserving individuals out there

You tell us who they are and we’ll take care of the rest! That includes full audiometric evaluation of their hearing needs, a premium level hearing aid system, and lifetime servicing.

In 2021, local winners included Natalie, a Cortland area nominee who has had difficulty hearing since she was a little girl, but because she is always wearing a contagious smile, you could never tell that she is struggling. She cares deeply about her community and is always the first person to volunteer and help in any way that she can. According to the person who nominated her, “The world deserves someone like Natalie, and we are lucky to have her.”

From the Vestal office, Josh has been a hearing aid user for most of his life. His lifelong health issues include chronic kidney disease and hearing loss. Despite his diagnosis, Josh maintains a positive outlook and makes people laugh with his wit. He spreads positivity through his constant willingness to help others and gives his time to work with an individual with developmental delays. Josh and his wife have a wonderful son and plan on making their family even bigger!

And in Elmira, Annette is a constant source of support within her family taking care of two family members in the last years of their lives. A devoted grandmother of 9, she remains actively involved in each of their lives. As the person who nominated her stated, ”She is our superstar!”

We are grateful to have the chance to give each of our past recipients, and those nominated in 2022 this wonderful gift, and we are excited to see what the future (and better hearing) brings for each of them!

How the contest works:

Once someone in our community who could benefit from improved hearing is identified, area residents are asked to submit a nomination, including why the recipient is deserving. One winner will be chosen to receive a free pair of premium hearing aids from each location.

Winning submissions will be selected according to the following Nomination Guidelines:

• Complete contact information is required. Nominators should include their own first and last name, email address, and phone number along with the nominee’s full name. Then, nominators are asked to make their case in 300 words or less!

• Nominations should be entered into the website nomination form, emailed to info@cortlandhearingaids.com, or mailed or dropped off to any of the three clinic locations.

• The deadline for submissions is Friday, December 9th, 2022. Winners will be chosen the week of December 12th, 2022.
